Belavia Connects Belarus to Thailand with New Charter Services

Belavia – Belarusian Airlines has expanded its long-haul network with the launch of direct charter flights from Minsk to Thailand, responding to growing demand from the Belarusian travel market.

The inaugural flight from Minsk to Pattaya (U-Tapao Airport) took place on 8 January 2026, operating at full capacity. Flights to Phuket commenced on 11 January 2026, offering travelers additional destination options.

Services to both destinations will operate every 10 to 11 days, with flight times averaging 10 hours outbound and 11 hours inbound.

Travel to Thailand is offered through all-inclusive tour packages, available via selected tour operators.

According to Uladzimir Barkun, Belavia’s Deputy General Director for Marketing and Foreign Economic Affairs, demand for Thailand has been consistently strong. Discussions to establish direct air links began during the Belarusian Foreign Minister’s visit to Thailand in July 2025, paving the way for today’s launch.

“The opening of air connectivity with Thailand creates a solid foundation for the future development of this route in Belavia’s network,” he said.
