Shangri-La Chiang Mai Unveils “Lanna Harvest Market – A Celebration of Northern Thai Flavours”

An immersive dining experience blending cuisine, culture, and sustainability

Chiang Mai, Thailand – Shangri-La Chiang Mai invites guests to embark on a unique culinary journey with the launch of “Lanna Harvest Market – A Celebration of Northern Thai Flavours”, an exclusive buffet dinner featuring authentic Northern Thai cuisine made with farm-fresh ingredients. This special event will take place from 2 July to 31 August 2025 at Kad Kafe, Level 2.

Inspired by the theme “The Charm of Lanna in the Harvest Season,” the event celebrates the abundance of nature during harvest time. The menu showcases fresh, seasonal, and organically grown ingredients sourced from local farms—embracing the “Locavore” philosophy, which emphasizes sustainability, supports local farmers, and reduces food miles.

Event highlights include a creative interpretation of traditional Lanna recipes—such as classic Hung Lay curry, organic chili dips (Nam Prik Noom), herbal salads, and fermented wellness drinks—all crafted to support digestive health and well-being. The restaurant space is transformed into a Northern Thai-style market (“Kad Lanna”) with cultural décor and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Every Friday night, guests can enjoy live traditional music performances, cultural showcases, and special premium menu items, including a complimentary grilled river prawn for each guest.
